After having your Sim introduce themselves, simply click on the Sage and then "Ask to Teach Potion Recipe" under the Magic tab. Sages live in the Magic HQ and are easy to spot as they have a rune above their head. Though if you're wanting to get your Sim's Spellcaster Rank up, Experimenting is a good way to do so.Īlternatively, your Sim can ask one of the Sages to teach them a new recipe. To Experiment, go to one of the many Cauldrons in the Magic HQ, click on it, and select "Experiment." Your Sim is not guaranteed to learn a new Potion this way, so we'd recommend asking a Sage to help out instead. Note that you can only brew Potions in Realm of Magic if your Sim is a Spellcaster. Your Sim can even give Potions to other Sims to influence their behavior. There are many reasons why you may be interested in having your Sim brew Potions, including the ability to give them immortality, force-resetting their Spellcaster Perk Points, to fill all their Needs or to increase Skill gain, just to name a few. They are a great way of filling up their Spellcaster Rank meter to reach the next level, though be warned - brewing and drinking them can backfire and inflict a Curse. Potions are brewed by your Spellcaster Sim using Alchemy or purchased and grant your Sim with certain effects when consumed.
